About the Book
About the Authors: Britt and Lorraine Cummins share a love for travel, nature, wildlife, and natural landscapes of the great outdoors. Their interest in photography developed initially during high school and college and has continued to grow throughout married life. While they enjoy the challenges and rewards of all types of photography, nature and landscape photography are their passion.
About this book: The Hawaiian Islands are culturally and naturally one of the most compelling tropical areas of the world. The colorful interaction of the people, landscape, and water creates diverse photographic opportunities that continue to keep us coming back over and over again. This book is one in a series depicting our photographic exploration of these spectacular islands. This book serves as a travel guide to great photographic opportunities on the island of Maui- featuring mountain, volcanic, rain forest, garden, and coastal scenery; adventure sporting activities; towns and villages; and cultural sites. We also provide detailed information and tips on photo techniques, camera settings, and framing/composition.
The book is intended to be useful to multiple audiences - tourists wanting to make the most of the time available to them when visiting this area, photographers and artists wanting to identify the best locations to create great images, those wanting to continuously improve their photography, and travelers wanting a keepsake remembrance.
