Likewise, there is another world, one ruled by Satan and inhabited by his bloodthirsty minions, creatures Alex has been able to see since his father’s murder, yet believed were hallucinations. With the discovery that his daemons are more than just creations of a sick mind, Alex is confronted with an even more startling truth: he is a Seer, the last of a race believed to have been eliminated by Satan’s army centuries before. With this knowledge, Alex also discovers that his father’s murder was no random act of violence, but Satan’s first failed attempt at destroying Alex before he turned twenty and joined the Gods in eradicating evil’s influence in the world. Now there is little time to waste. With his father’s killers in fast pursuit and his birthday ever approaching, Alex must struggle to survive with the help of the Gods, all the while combating his sickness and his ever crippling ignorance.
