About the Book
Olof Dahlstrand is a Wrightian architect. In the 1950's, he designed seven residences in the East Bay area of Greater San Francisco. All were designed in the Usonian style, four were owner built, and three continue to be occupied by their original owners more than fifty years after construction.
This book contains photographs of Dahlstrand's homes, renderings,architectural drawings, and paintings. Text descriptions include information from interviews with Dahlstrand, who turned 91 on November 26th, 2007, interviews with the original owners, Olof's CV, and descriptions of notable features of each of the seven Usonians.
