    About the Ebook

By the end of the day on May 15, 1864, with Major General William T. Sherman's Military Division of the Mississippi advancing towards his supply lines, General Joseph E. Johnston's Army of Tennessee was forced to withdraw from the hills surrounding Resaca, Georgia

Although six thousand, one hundred soldiers lay dead or wounded, the Battle of Resaca had ended inconclusively.

One hundred and forty-five years later, 900 men, women and children gathered on the Chitwood Farm, site of some of the heaviest fighting of Sherman's Atlanta Campaign to reenact the Battle of Resaca.

This photo essay commemorates the battle and the reenactors dedicated to reliving this important piece of American History.
