Artist working with fine art photography, painting and collage. I merge all three disciplines in an open and fluid way. 'I want my work to provoke an emotional response and for the viewer to be intrigued by the process behind it. I would like to think my art leaves an impression on the viewer that is not easily forgotten.' I started out using paint,collage and a sewing machine to stitch onto my colour photographs but now I do the same digitally using a tool kit of apps on an ipad and my computer. I collect interesting papers, patterns and type and also make my own, to cut out shapes for collages which I merge with my photography and painting. Each image that I make involves days of work painstakingly cutting out, painting and layering to produce a final image that has a very slick, contemporary and bold graphic feel.
