About the Book
This is a book of photographs with a twist: each image is a composite of itself, some more complex than others. The title is derived from this quote in the introduction: "The brain absorbs words, symbols, light, music, sound, objects, nature, etc. Usually, all of these don’t sit in an idle stupor, but tend to collide with each other, in the creative mind, to produce something new. At a conscious level, this process finds expression in literature, music, art, poetry, conversation, invention, science, and, yes, in photography. At a not so conscious level, the process may surface in dreams and nightmares."
