About the Book
Mixing historical notes with personal observations and evocative landscape and street photography, “Morocco: Mystique Under the Moroccan Sun” provides a high-level overview of this colorful country in the form of a 14-day tour in 2019. Covering 1,160 miles, the wide-ranging road trip included stops in Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Meknes, Volubilis, Fez, Goulmima, Marrakech, and Essaouira. Accompanying the author were a small group of alumni from Reed College and a professor of anthropology who provided cultural context and a greater understanding of this fascinating land that has a long history of mixing cultures, influences, and ethnicities. Photos taken by the author.
