About the Creator
Dr Stephen J Weiss is Fellow at King’s College London with an MA in war studies and subsequent PhD. from the institute. He also has an MA in Clinical Psychology from Goddard College in Vermont. Stephen's adolescent years spent as a first scout in an American infantry rifle squad shape the rest of his life. "The Invisible Scars of War" is Stephen's 1st hand account of the "boy" combat soldier in WWII. It takes you directly to the chaos of the war during the liberation of Italy and France and it recounts his fights alongside French resistance fighters and his involvement in the operations of the American OSS until finally re-joining his unit again in Northern France; sick, exhausted and broken. Stephen survives against all odds. But the impact of his experience turns out to be lasting. This book describes is life and experiences candidly, compassionately, at time humorous, and impossible to put down.
