Jeff Moorfoot is a well renowned Australian fine art photographer with a background in commercial photography, education, design and publishing. In 2016 he was awarded The Medal of the Order of Australia [OAM] for his lifetime contribution to photography. This is his first book

BETA developments in photography was conceived in 2012 by Editor Jeff Moorfoot as an online portfolio magazine promoting the diversity of photography to the broadest possible international audience in support of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. In 2013 a further publication 1000 Words [about photography] was also established as a sister publication to BETA. As of issue number 20, BETA developments in photography is published independently of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. Editorial, design and distribution decisions are now under the sole control of Jeff Moorfoot at by the Light of the Moon. Publication of further issues of One Thousand Words [about photography] has been discontinued.
