Throughout our lives, we gain connection through many things. Places, objects, and people are just some of the few we can feel psychological connections with. An important way we can feel connections is through images; they are the portal into our history and can tell us a great deal about ourselves. Images also act as symbolic metaphors for others and can be the puzzle pieces for storytelling; when represented through patterns they indicate ideas, thoughts, and memories which occur repeatedly in our minds. Through the use of Collaborative Self-Portraiture, others tell visual stories about their lives, feelings, memories, and personalities.
