After his retirement as an art teacher, Patrick set off on a series of solo trips to explore and photograph the cities and districts of Spain and Italy. In this book of photos from his first trip, he has included photos from his third trip, that included the university city of Salamanca. On his first trip he stayed in hostals in Madrid, Segovia, Toledo. His friend, Colin accompanied him on his third trip, to Salamanca where they also visited the less well known town of Ciudad Rodrigo.
His images capture the atmosphere and beauty of the streets, architecture and scenery of these fascinating destinations.
