About the Book
In 1985, at an informal gathering in San Francisco, Tapestry Weavers West was formed as a way to increase the dialog about contemporary hand-woven tapestry and promote it to the general public. Its membership now extends up and down the West Coast as well as across the US and Canada. Tapestry Weavers West artists exhibit locally, nationally and internationally, participate in national and international symposia, and continually explore new imagery in tapestry. This catalog was created to provide a lasting memory of the 2016 tapestry exhibit by Tapestry Weavers West at the Mills Building in San Francisco.

About the Creator
Nicki Bair
Southern California
I weave with both words and weft; combining fiber with my creative musings, whether it is a poem, a children’s story, a mystery novel or simply a pithy phrase. My tapestries and weavings feature bold curves, elusive text, touches of nature and multiple layers of meaning. I enjoy creating lasting memories of art exhibits by creating memorable and colorful catalogs of the event for all to share.
