Two photo essays shot in the spring of 2008. As I shot each in its turn I came to feel that the compilations were taking on sharply contrasting energies. Though I had set out with the intention of capturing one idea--the result was two separate stories. For this reason, I started calling them my ketu and rahu photo essays--these are the South and North nodes of the moon in Vedic astrology, and though they are parts of the same rock, they are representative of vast energetic opposites.
