About the Book
The French LA-based published and awarded photographer Emmanuelle Choussy has been working for ten years on the question of the Woman’s image. In 2013 she launched an Art project called « Women and Breasts ». The photographer is now happy to release a photography book celebrating all the Women: the happy, the elegant, the fighting, the naked Women…The 40 pages-book proposes a series of fine-art photographs, some of them extracted of her « ETRE and PARAITRE » exhibition (Pacific Design Center, Sept. 2014), some others totally unreleased. Emmanuelle’s « French heritage » brings her work a touch of subtlety and elegance, as she appreciates to claim being influenced by the « Academic movement » of the European painters of the XVIIe century in the set-up of her images. Her photos become internationally published in 2011 : Los Angeles, Paris, New-York, Manchester, Bruxelles, Karachi… Her photo documentary about President JFK (50th anniversary of his death) has been published in four Europeans newspapers/magazines within France USA Media agency based in L.A. In 2014 it’s time to take a new turn in her carrer in realizing her first American photo exhibitions: the first one in September 2014 at the Pacific Design Center – the temple of contemporary Art in LA, the second in January-February 2015 at L’ALLIANCE FRANCAISE of Los Angeles. In February 2015 she wins the HARRY LANGDON AWARD FOR PHOTOGRAPHY at the first annual HOLLYWOOD BEAUTY AWARDS, Los Angeles (Henry FONDA theatre).
