About the Book
A Slavic Christmas Eve is a joyous dinner celebration that is full of love, friendship and forgiveness. The meal is meatless and has definitely become a tradition for us. Our family (Polish and Czech heritage) dines on six severe courses that have remained the same in my lifetime and I’m sure were the same for many prior generations. The word “severe” is a good overall description of the courses. Some of the family have a yearly battle whether to swallow or to somehow hide the food in a particular course. There is a lot of creativity and acting involved to make it disappear.
