About the Book
I travelled to San Francisco to visit my best friend and ended up spending one day of my trip on the campus of Stanford University. The campus is filled with incredible art - from a tremendous Andrew Goldsworthy to a vast number of impressive Rodin bronzes to the mysterious Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden.
Setting out with the Guide to Outdoor Sculpture map, I was on a quest to see the Angel of Grief monument, and became somewhat ...well ... lost. I had wandered amidst a strange, neglected and wonderful cactus garden. It was so very odd to find this unmarked, unadvertised beautiful space, that I recall walking around as I was shooting pictures muttering, "What IS this place?"
