About the Book
My journey started when I left my motherland of South Africa back in 1998 with my partner and set sail for the United Kingdom.
It was the first time I had ever stepped off South African soil. While in the UK we enjoyed the great history and site seeing; and travelled to France, Spain and Amsterdam.
After two years we returned to South Africa; to get married and enjoy our beautiful country. I could not find work in South Africa, so headed to neighbouring Namibia, leaving my beautiful wife behind for six months before returning to South Africa. When a Canadian based firm came to South Africa looking to recruit new employees, we jumped at the opportunity and moved to Vancouver.
We have lived here since 2002, while traveling back and forth to South Africa, almost every year, so as not to forget how beautiful the country we were born in is. Our hearts will always be in South Africa and our lives here in Vancouver.
