About the Book
When walking along the streets of Budapest one senses – and sometimes sees – the grandeur and civility of the bourgeois life that once filled it. The state of decay of what remains though is a stark reminder of the darker sides of a large metropolis and the obstacles in awakening the spirits of a bygone era – the (fading) glory of the past representing hope.
