About the Book
ABIDE is comprised of a series drawings and a collection of poems. The drawings, thirteen in all, each contain a word that describes a quality found in a individual that seeks to be a better person. In fact, these characteristics are found in all people and all living things. The words selected are slightly based on the writings of St. Paul the Apostle. The poems were written while the author, Travis Galbraith, attended the Cleveland Institute of Music between the years 2000 and 2005. He found it appropriate to join together these writings and drawings into a work that could be dedicated to his nephew and niece, James and Emmeline. His hope is that it will inspire them and anyone who views the book to continue their path of seeking a better life for themselves, finding answers that will abide in their heart.
