About the Book
Not well known, but well loved by those who live here, our home is a small 70 mile long strip of land that stretches along the coast between Maryland's Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach. First explored in 1608, the Eastern Shore's Route 13 has become the I-95 alternative for those who travel from the northeastern states to Hampton Roads. But there is so much more to do once the main road is left behind for backroads and tranquil surroundings. From Assateague Island to the 17.5 mile long Chesapeake Bay-Bridge Tunnel, I hope you will join me for a journey around the Eastern Shore and enjoy these photos as much as I have enjoyed taking them.
