About the Book
Laughter and humour are the antidotes of life. When you just want to smile at work in an office, the amusing things that happen are often forgotten. With this in mind, I have created the 2009 diary just for this purpose. The wit and lippy text along with the delightful watercolour cartoons are both comical and clever. The diary contains 53 images and captions, one for each week of the year accompanied by the weekly dates on the opposite page with space for jotting down your appointments and notes. Every time you turn the page, you can look forward to another image to make you grin.
About the Creator
Patrizia Mengozzi Malik was born in Kenya (East Africa) of Italian parents. Her artistic talents were evident from her childhood days growing up on a coffee farm in Kenya. The numerous family camping safaris out on the spectacular African savannah have given her the privilege of being able to closely study the behaviour of African wildlife. As a consequence, Patrizia paints primarily African Wildlife and landscapes in oils on canvas. She is also proficient in the classical art of French Limoge and Sevres designs on porcelain. She has held both watercolour (2001) and porcelain art (2006) exhibitions in Nairobi. Her porcelain pieces have been published in the British Porcelain Artist. In 2007, she was invited by the Kenya Television Network (KTN) to broadcast a demonstration on the techniques required for painting on porcelain. Although travelling the globe is very much part of her life now, Patrizia currently works from both her studios in Dubai (U.A.E.) and Nairobi (Kenya).
