About the Book
Jeff Myers did not turn one volunteer away, he photographed what ever was presented to him, and stopped at 40. He didn't shoot 50 and pick the 40 prettiest women. He worked with each woman finding the one pose that presented them in a true light, not relying on retouching.
Each woman that volunteered came into the studio and together with Jeff, they worked for that perfect look. Often times taking up to 4 hours per sitting.
For his part Jeff worked with a single light source, no reflectors and a plain black background. Stripping away the tools that can be used to create amazing photographs, having only to rely on his ability as a veteran photographer to find the right look for each woman.
This is not about erotica, it is about the true spirit that resides in women over 40, strong, determined, and empowered. Their inner beauty, that is often overlooked, but now exposed.
A portion of the profits from the sale of each book will be donated to two charities, The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston (MOCAH), and Pink Door Nonprofit.
