About the Book
This book of photos without text, consists of images found in the Castello di Bianello, a hilltop castle in northern Italy. First constructed in the 11th century, the castle remained in private hands for almost one thousand years, its character amended by subsequent generations.

About the Creator

I was born and educated in Massachusetts, U.S.A. I earned a Ph.D. in political science and African Studies at Boston University, spent two years working in Malawi, Central Africa, and twenty-eight years as a professor and college administrator in New York State. I retired in 2000 to pursue photography. My first solo exhibition was Dipticos, at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires in 2005.
