From an early age I have been obsessed with human characteristics. How we look, gesture, and the features that makes us individuals. Contemplation about beauty has also intrigued me. Although everyone is comprised with the same features, society deems certain individuals at a higher value. In some respects, a commodity. My photography has been an invaluable tool in exploring these issues. I utilize silver gelatin and digital prints because of the versatility they provide. As I analyze each individual, identity about myself arise. This is important for my personal growth and my creative well being. The human race is a complex area to deliberate, and certainly, self identification is even more difficult. Studies in this area can last a lifetime. Although I may never truly discover any final answers, the process of evaluating this area fullfills my place in photography.
