      About the Book

      Edit

A photographic collection of what is behind the trees we see every day or what the ancient people deemed as, the spirits of the trees.

It highlights the wonderful yet mysterious side of human perception - the known and unknown - by drawing a fine line between both believable and unbelievable simultaneously. What that does is, force one to decide not by perception alone but by also what they choose to believe in after seeing it.

Pareidolia, the psychological phenomenon of making people see faces in trees and possibly everywhere, correlates to creativity. I wonder what the ancient people's explanation of this was, and what this would be in times to come as we understand our genetic self better and forget our spiritual self.

Whatever the meaning is or would be with time, it's rather humbling and yet challenging as it shakes the foundation of modern belief as we fly on technological advancement with our understanding.

Perhaps, it is the very same energy fuelling our flight into the unknown with our understanding. I surely hope so, because if not, it would be suicidal.

Every picture in this book is to express the energy which seems hidden amongst all matter under the Sun. The writings though are some of our experiences before and after.
