About the Book
Spanning more than 1,000 kilometers from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea,
the Caucasus Mountains lie at the nexus of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. From the serenity of Lake Sevan in Armenia to the isolated mountaintop monasteries of Georgia to the magnificent mosques of Baku, Azerbaijan, the photographs in Images of the Caucasus capture a small slice of this diverse, multicultural set of adolescent countries.
Photographer, writer, composer, and musician DAVID COUZENS has traveled to more than 30 countries as well as to the majority of American states and Canadian provinces. His books of photography Images of Rajasthan, Images of Ireland, Images of Guatemala, Images of the Caucasus, Images of Hungary and the Czech Republic, and Images of Southwest China, along with their companion DVDs, were released starting in 2008 as part of an ongoing series of multimedia projects. He has also published Images of the Taj Mahal and Images of the West as large-format portfolios. He regularly presents programs of his photography and original music throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
