About the Book
This book is a collection of photographs taken along the River Thames and the Grand Union Canal in London.
The photographs were taken over the span of time that I lived in London, from 1975 to 1988. Some of the older slides are now fading away.
I first discovered the photographic possibilities of the River Thames when I lived near Strand on the Green. Many of the photographs were taken here at dawn when the light is often spectacular.
I have always been fascinated by canals, and over the years that I lived in London I explored most of the Grand Union and Regents Canal that curves across the north of London.
Many of the places photographed have now changed beyond recognition in a London always in perpetual change.
