About the Book
In early 2008, I noticed a lot more dead businesses than usual along the streets of the East Village. This book contains about 50 of them with their gates down, shutters closed, ready to be swept away before something else moves in. In addition to all that, you can also see one of the last views of the Tower of Toys from Avenue B, and a retrospective glimpse of Tower Records back when it was still alive in 1988; a symbol of one of the many places lost in recent years. Take a look, if you dare.
