About the Book
Fathers and Sons is a collection of almost 120 portraits taken between 2008 and 2011.
The objective was to capture how fathers and sons negotiate and show love.
What the collection illustrates, amongst other things, is how males tend to feel more comfortably and connected when engaged in some activity.
Whilst engaged in activities talk often follows incidentally. For sons these often rare moments may gain some monumental significance in their/our lives, although we tend to not recognise that at the time. I have tried to capture some of these moments in this collection.
