LOGANSPORT, IN: Krista Fay White and Virgil Benjamin Hook were married Sunday July 24, 2011 in a double ring ceremony officiated by Dean Snyder, pastor of Logansport, IN Helm Street Church of God.. The outdoor ceremony was framed by the beautiful canopied trees in front of the waterfall at France Park just west of Logansport, Indiana. This beautiful park provided a gorgeous setting for the touching and joyous ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Verona Jean White, Logansport, IN and is a graduate of Logansport High School and received a BS in Physics with minors in Astronomy and Geology from Ball State University in 2010. The groom is the son of DeWayne Hook, Jonesboro, IN and Jean Hook, Oklahoma City, OK. The groom graduated valedictorian of his high school class at Madison-Grant High School, Fairmont, IN and received his BS in Physics from Ball State University in 2008. Both the bride and groom are pursuing graduate degrees in Physics.
The bride wore a white Alfred Angelo wedding dress with luster satin, embroidery, pearl and crystal beading, sequins with lace-up corset back, The semi-cathedral train contained an indigo blue pleated inlay. Her attendants wore indigo blue Alfred Angelo dresses made of satin embroidery, beading with dropped waist line, and sweep train with white inlay.
The Maid of Honor was Katie Rowland, Mechanicsburg, IN, with brides’ attendants Melissa Peden, Ft. Wayne, IN and Amber Hook, Jonesboro, IN. The Best Man was Abe Hook, Westfield, IN, with grooms’ attendants Megan Wallace, Jacksonville, Fl., and DeWayne Hook, Jonesboro, IN.
The reception was at the France Park community building located at the entrance to the park. The three tier cake with blue shells was made by Misty Hook, sister-in-law of the groom. Ceremony music was provided by Vi Green of Logansport.
The couple was guests of honor at a luncheon at the mother of the bride’s home in Logansport the evening before the wedding, where they visited with out of town guests, family and members of the wedding party.
The couple honeymooned at the romantic Morels on the Wabash cabin resort located on the Wabash River west of Logansport, Indiana. They will reside in Jonesboro, IN.
