As I undertake documentary photography that requires travel both domestically and internationally, during Co-vid this is just not possible. This allowed me to venture into other areas of photography such as fine art. My series Asylum allowed me to seek refuge in these current challenging times where each image involved careful planning, attention to detail and many days - even weeks to produce. Documentary photography requires ethical standards such as minimal post processing to ensure authenticity. Asylum allowed me to venture to the other end of the photographic spectrum where I could go crazy with compositing, cloning and blending for example. There were no limits on what I could or could not do except for my imagination.
