About the Book
Situated in the southernmost part of the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, Gorongosa National Park is one of Mozambique’s flagship conservation areas with a remarkable history. From the ashes of the incredible human and wildlife tragedy that occurred during the years of civil war in the 1970’s, has arisen a conservation project of hope and inspiration. In this book of artistic images and words Jean-Paul Vermeulen reveals the beauty and fascination of this region. These images were photographed in wild places that are easily accessible to anybody who wishes to travel there.
