About the Book
When the world went into shock and quarantine in March 2020 due to covid - I truly felt despair and grief for all. After many tears and getting a grip on what was truly going on I decided to create this book "I am a Tree You are a Weed".
I had already written many poems and words about trees and how we humans could relate to their steadfast and true nature, and now at this time I paired them with my photography of Vancouver Island.
As this book took shape I realized how strong we all are. How we are like the trees - resilient, rooted, and beautiful!
Even after the rain and the stormy days the trees remain.
The pages turned into encouragement and support. I sincerely hope you find the same result when you read my book.
For all of those around us that have intentions to hold us back I say:
