My name is Christian Pi’ikaiokalani Kahahawai. I am a freelance photographer born on the island of Kauai. I thrive on photography not only as a business, but as a way of self-expression. It allows me to show the world from my point of view, from a new and inspired perspective. I’ve never been a big believer in following the same rules set by other photographers, but charting my own course and creating my own unique style.

My approach is candid – let’s call it documentary photography – but I enjoy shooting a variety of different ways and constantly evolving myself and my style as a photographer. From weddings, to landscape, events, travel, models, and product shots, capturing subjects in their element tells the ultimate story. For me, a picture really is worth a thousand words.
