About the Book
My wife and I have been regular visitors to Coral Bay and other locations on Ningaloo Reef where we have struggled to identify the fishes we see. We quickly realised that the only way to identify what we saw was to photograph them. This presented a whole new set of challenges: moving subjects, moving camera, unfamiliar lighting and learning how best to take photos of fish. We purchased many different books and pored over them trying to identify the huge variety of fishes we saw and soon realised that no one book will identify everything you see, although some come close. This book is a photographic guide to the most common fishes seen on Ningaloo Reef and is intended to assist the snorkeller with identifying them.
