About
As a former newspaper reporter for 17 years for The Record of Hackensack, the Asbury Park Press and other publications, I like real-life stories. As a philosopher at heart, I like stories that illuminate a part of the deep mystery of life. I've come to believe, even to see, that enlightening, real-life stories are all around us.
After journalism, I taught middle school children for six years, then became a senior writer for The Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Catholic Relief Services. In addition to this book, I also wrote a non-fiction account of the life of American playwright Austin Strong and his wife Mary. This story is available at lsbtheinsidestory.org.
My permanent address is in southern Vermont, but I currently spend considerable time in Germany with my partner. I am retired.
