Originally from Phoenix, I have always enjoyed photography as a hobby. I studied English at Arizona State and the University of Virginia and taught middle school humanities for many years. Though I still do some tutoring and writing, lately I have spent more and more time making photographs and photo books for my youngest daughter's dance school and for Woodberry Forest School, a boys' boarding school where I have lived for the past 24 years. My husband and I have three daughters.
