About

I've been an artist all my life, celebrating the natural world. However, creating took a back seat for 30 years while I devoted myself to a full time job. When I retired to New Mexico in 2015, I knew I’d finally have time to reawaken the artist in me.

The first art exhibit I saw after relocating was "The Red That Colored the World.” Fascinated, I began a journey into all the facets of red: from crystals, plants, and animals to foods, clothing, and idioms. Those discoveries eventually led me to creating my first set of ‘zines about 13 colors, to capture what I'd learned.

Thrilled with these results, I dove into three other topics that are close to my heart:
the world of horses, the constellations, and the flowers in our gardens. For each topic, I learned so much! For example, I discovered how horses evolved, the contributions of female astronomers, and the unique ways that plants propagate themselves. I created ‘zines about each topic as a way to share the delights of my discoveries.
