About
Mark Gammill is a poet from Visalia, California. He began writing poetry at the age of fourteen and was deeply influenced by the confessional poets, Mark's poems explore the raw, intimate landscapes of love, loss, memory, and longing. His writing leans into emotional honesty and intensity, favoring the deeply personal over the purely observational. By his early twenties, he had written dozens of poems centered on lost love, which formed the foundation of his first collection, RECURRING DREAMS. Over the years, his creative process expanded, drawing inspiration from art, film, and lived experience. In recent years, Mark has combined his poetry with his artwork, pairing imagery with verse to create a richer, more immersive experience. RECURRING DREAMS brings together over 20 years of work, blending past and present into a unified expression of reflection and feeling. This book is an invitation: to remember, to feel, and perhaps to see a part of your own experiences within these pages.
