About

The author was born and grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and began to compile this collection while completing her university studies. After graduation from New Mexico Highlands University, she began her early career by teaching high school Spanish and English. Later, with a degree in Human Resources, she continued to record her memories of family, nature and her surroundings. With retirement in the Washington, DC area and with the 2020 pandemic's sheltering-in-place restrictions, time was finally given to compile her many stories. Gathering this collection served as a catharsis and a means of therapy. These inspirational and heart-warming stories are memoir-like and autobiographical in nature, describing her upbringing and her family. Others were written as gifts for birthdays or for special events.
