About the Book
Alexis Rago has been working and exhibiting, nationally and internationally for over two decades both in private and public galleries. In recent years he has focused on negotiating the relationship between science and spirituality in the context of evolution and sacred art. Primarily using ceramic material he reifies biological notions in a sculptural reinterpretation of the natural world. Alexis Rago graduated in biology from the University of Manchester and subsequently studied fine art at the Institute for Art and Restoration, Florence. He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London.
