About the Book
Preface
Make a Difference.
Purchase any Go India! book and US$5.00 for every book ordered goes to the I-India and Smile Foundation India charities who provide aid for homeless children in Jaipur and various cities across India.
These charities provide food, shelter, clothing and education to under privileged street children. Do your part and receive an incredible full colour photo journal with extensive historical liner notes as a keepsake for your contribution to these charities.
A little help goes a long way, and it begins with you and me.
Foreword
These photos were taken on a recent trip to India in May 2010.
Book One covered many exciting and vibrant locations in New Delhi and Gurgaon. My favourite being Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi for its amazing sights, sounds and smells.
Book Two takes us to Amritsar, a six and a half hour journey by the Shatabdi Express out of New Delhi's main railway station.
Take a 360° tour of the breathtaking Golden Temple and its magnificent complex of places of worship, visit the 16th century Durgiana Mandir or go back in time to 1919 and relive the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre where the British Raj killed thousands.
With its dusty streets, old world architecture, colourful people and amazing sights, one simply cannot get enough of Amritsar, Punjab.
