The book is a photographic record of a journey, in July 2015, through Vietnam from Sa Pa in the far north to Sa Dec in the Mekong Delta. Photographs from the 1990s are used to contrast the progress Vietnam has made in 20 years, from a war wrecked, poverty stricken country, to one of Asia's most dynamic dragons. The beauty of the country is striking - from the lush green rice terraces of Sa Pa, the gracious pagodas and houses of Hoi An, and the bustling riverside cities of the Delta.

As a teacher at a Bangkok international school for 20 years I was very fortunate to be so close to some of history's great sites, and even more fortunate that the wonderful students were keen to take history trips and make them so enjoyable.
