About the Book
This book contains the collection of letters that Bert Field sent home to his mother when he was in the army during during WWII. If you are interested in the day to day life of a soldier based at the Head Quarters of the Royal Canadian Artillery, then you will be able to follow the division as they move around England, Wales, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland. There are also tidbits of information on life back home in Arkona, a village in Southwestern Ontario, and more than anything, you will see through these letters, the love and devotion between a son and his mother.
