Seashells of North Carolina is a photographic essay of most common and many rare shells endemic to the Carolinian Province; the book includes precise collection data and detailed photographs. Several species illustrated represent the northernmost and deepest examples documented. Shells pictured were collected diving the offshore wrecks, ledges and hard bottom between Cape Hatteras and the Wilmington/Carolina Beach area.
