      About the Book

      Edit

      Welcome back ghouls and ghosties.
Time to explore America's obsession with murderous meltdowns and the proliferation of mass shootings. As our common discourse devolves more and more into a shouting match of talking points, Last Girls Club explores how we make our way back from this shit show that is the political social landscape we are drowning in. We have lost faith in everything and there is no over arching agreement on what reality is. The bullies are winning and it is time for the marginalized, the outliers, and the evolved to out think the troglodytes of oppression. Our authors explore mass violence in different venues and different viewpoints. Prepare to be haunted.

See you in the Summer. And as always, may the shadows embrace you and the monsters fear you more.

Last Girls Club is an indie feminist horror magazine, newsletter, and podcast. All are artist run publications and creations whose goal is to promote the female gaze in horror, its creators, and to preserve the cultural dynamic of our age, while celebrating the dark incarnation of the feminine. Dismantling the patriarchy of the binary is just a welcome side effect.

Bonjour Mes Chats, I am the ghost host of The Last Girls Club, Martinne Corbeau. I am a 600 year old succubus who loves to gossip. I've seen much and am ashamed of little. I've spent most of my incarnations in France, but have traveled widely through the liminal spaces and consider myself a citizen of the universe in multiple dimensions. I've brokered many deals with and for the undead; consider evil to be a matter of perspective; and binary definitions of good/evil heaven/hell the refuge of tiny minds. And I love horror. Join me in my international search for new voices in horror. Celebrate the weird with me, my darling.
