About the Creator
Hello, I’m Macala Wright. I’m a food writer, community herbalist, farmer and wellness enthusiast. I’m also a woman who’s always loved cowboy boots, horses, traveling the backroads, and finding open spaces. Growing up, my family managed 1200 acres in the midwest dedicated to livestock and crop production; you could say I was born with my love of food of farming, food and agriculture. A series of life life events caused me to burn down what I thought was my dream life and pivot and embrace a simple way of working and living. Now, working from place of “enough,” I focus my work on the three things I love most – food, farming and writing. When I’m not creating, you can find me on the back of a horse or exploring a road less traveled.
