Jeff Woodbury grew up in a military family and has lived in a dozen states as well as England. He earned a B.F.A. in Intermedia from Arizona State University in Tempe and an M.F.A. in painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. An interdisciplinary artist whose work often falls between clear-but categories, Woodbury has exhibited photographs, drawings, maps, prints, sculptures and video works. He was included in the 2008 Biennial at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport, Maine, and his work is in the collection of the Osher Map Library in Portland. His work appears in "The Map as Art: Contemporary Artists Explore Cartography," by Katharine Harmon as well as "From Here to There: A Curious Collection from the Hand Drawn Map Association," by Kris Harzinski. Woodbury has been a guest lecturer at the State University of New York in New Paltz, is a member of the Peregrine Press printmaking group, and is represented locally by the June Fitzpatrick Gallery.
