For as long as I can remember, I have been creating elaborate abstract drawings. Also, for as long as I can remember I have had an anxious and busy mind. My artwork calmed me. I have had no formal training or schooling in the arts. It was something that was as natural and instinctual to me as breathing.

I had my first show 22 years ago at the Lawrence Gallery in Alexandria. While it was a success, it would be my last until March and April of 2016, where I exhibited in Del Ray Artisan’s gallery.

For many years, I stopped creating. I suffered many losses of close relatives. Consumed with grief, I lost the motivation to create. In 2010 I was blessed with twins. When I went back to work, a coworker commented on my doodles one day in a meeting. The conversation gave me pause and inspiration to start. I began creating again. It felt like I was reunited with an old friend and I have not stopped.
