About

Jack Hannula, primarily an oil painter (as well as an architect), has exhibited his art extensively in Washington and internationally - in India, China, Russia and Egypt: and in New York at the Kushnir-Taylor Gallery and Amsterdam-Whitney Gallery (2004-2007). He currently exhibits his art at the Arts Club of Washington’s Spilsbury Gallery in downtown Washington. Jack was the Spilsbury Gallery’s founder (2007) and Club President in 2011 and 2012. His vibrant city scenes and landscapes, large and small, are in various private and public collections, including that of the City of Washington, DC. Jack travels considerably to paint, especially in Italy, Sicily, France and Mexico. He is currently writing a book, Painting Mexico: Guanajuato, which he intends to publish this summer (2016). Others -including “Painting Sicily”, and Painting Tuscany and Umbria will follow this first publication. All are part of his Artists’ Odyssey series, a 7-volume project in the works for eight years.
